St. Faustina, a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy, received from Jesus a message of mercy and became the apostle and secretary of God’s mercy. Jesus
requested she offer her sufferings in union with Him, to atone for the sins of others, encourage trust in Him and have a painting made of Him, as he appeared to her,
wearing a white robe with two rays, one white, one red flowing from His merciful Heart. She recorded years of personal conversation with Jesus in a diary.
