St. Anthony an authentic Franciscan, was faithful to the traditions established by St. Francis of Assisi. Ordained in 1221, St. Anhony was known as a great preacher
in Padua, Italy. He was the first Franciscan to teach theology and was named a lector by St. Francis himself.
